Hoy, en El Ruido de Fran, nos centramos en una sola historia: la del death metal sueco y todo lo que creció a su alrededor en Europa. Melodía, brutalidad, técnica... treinta y tantos años de un género que nació para no ser popular y que, sin embargo, ha terminado influyendo en medio mundo del metal actual: desde los orígenes en Florida y el porqué de la explosión escandinava, pasando por Sunlight Studios y el nacimiento del "Gothenburg Sound" con At the Gates, Dark Tranquillity e In Flames, hasta el brutal death metal, el death técnico y las escenas "periféricas" de Finlandia, Reino Unido, Alemania y Polonia.
